Tool Room Machinist - Dayshift

Wanted – a person who enjoys working with their hands, and is good with machines, to join our team at the Midwest’s premier laser cutting job shop. We are looking for the right person who can help Kooima Company achieve its goals.

If this interests you, here are some of the things you would be doing to help us meet our goals:

Build and maintain machine tooling and fixtures.
Maintain punch press tooling.
Maintain tool room equipment and tooling.
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly

If you can accomplish the above, you’ve got what it takes. Realistically though, in order to hit the ground running, we prefer you have at least some experience operating machinery or working with metal, using calipers and operating a forklift.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or tech school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience or education in operating mills and lathes.
Work involves varying degrees of precision and control.
Ability to read work orders and communicate verbally with others.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 80 pounds.
Ability to learn new things quickly.
